Can I make changes to my order after it’s placed?
You can cancel or make any necessary changes to your order any time before your order starts processing for shipment.
Please email customerservice@flatironmeatcompany.com and we'll try our best to accommodate your request. Because our items are perishable, orders that are already processing for shipment cannot be canceled or rerouted.
Can I schedule my order to ship later?
Yes, you can select your delivery date in the checkout process. You can schedule an order to deliver up to 30 days out from your purchase date.
Can I include a personalized message with my gift?
Absolutely! You can provide a personalized gift message on the custom box label. We also offer an option to write a personalized message on the packing slip.
How will my order be shipped?
We put together all orders on the morning of delivery. To maintain optimal conditions, our products are vacuum sealed. We use dry ice to maintain the temperature of our products within our insulated packaging.
How will my items be packaged?
Our items ship in our gift-grade box, packed in a sturdy insulated cooler with enough dry ice to ensure they remain frozen or chilled during shipment.
What do I do with the ice in the cooler?
If any dry ice remains in the cooler when your package arrives, please do not touch the remaining dry ice with bare hands. Instead, leave it in the cooler in an area with good ventilation and allow it to evaporate.
My items arrived thawed, are they still good?
If your items are refrigerator cold when they arrive, they may be refrozen.
How long can meat last in the refrigerator once thawed?
On average, you should cook or freeze your product within 5 days of its arrival.
Why does the color of my meat look different?
Our beef may change to a darker red color while in the packaging due to the lack of exposure to oxygen. The variation in color is completely natural and expected.
When ready to cook, we recommend removing it from the packaging and leaving it out for 10-15 minutes.
What if my order is delayed in transit?
We strive to deliver on your requested date, but carrier delays or bad weather may occur. Delivery times aren't guaranteed, and we’re not responsible for shipping delays. If your order doesn’t arrive frozen or partially frozen, please contact us.
How is your beef graded?
All of the beef we procure qualifies as “high quality beef” and has a grade of Top 1/3 Choice or higher.
